Steve Grandon has supported the Right of Way International Education Foundation for over 35 years. Prior to the 2014 conference, he wanted to do something extra to raise money to help fund education. By riding from the current conference site to the next year’s site, Steve created a unique contest to guess the total milage for his trip. For a $10 donation, you choose from three (3) possibilities for the chance to win a $1,000 cash prize. Participants can make as many guesses as they’d like for $10 each.
To date, Steve’s shortest ride was from Minneapolis, MN to San Antonio, TX, a distance of 1,478.5 miles. His longest ride was from Nashville, TN to Anchorage, AK, a total distance of 4,378.7 miles. That is incredible dedication to raising funds for right of way education! Steve’s employer, Liberty Core Consultants, sponsors his ride and graciously provides the $1,000 prize to the lucky winner. All proceeds go to RWIEF.
This year’s ride was from Omaha, NE to Calgary, AB, which is the site of the 2027 IRWA conference. For a chance at the $1000 prize, go to www.libertycore.com and click on the motorcycle or go to www.rwief.org and click on Events. If you attend the Omaha conference, you can make your guess(s) at the RWIEF booth at the tradeshow. You do not, however, need to attend the conference to participate. The names of those who choose the correct milage will be put in a hat and the winner will be drawn at RWIEF’s Saturday Night Event at the Omaha conference.
The Foundation thanks Steve for his never-ending energy (and saddle sores) along with his contest sponsor, Liberty Core Consultants!
